We found that the psychological characteristics of children with precocious heart disease are manifested in the following aspects, namely, children with precocious heart disease are more introverted than normal children, emotionally unstable, and have lower social adaptation ability, and children with cyanotic type have lower life adaptation ability than non-cyanotic type. Psychologists believe that from birth to 5 or 6 years old is the most important stage of personality formation in life. During this stage, the majority of children live in families and grow up under the loving care of their parents, and their parents’ educational attitude and social requirements make a deep impression on children’s mind through their families. Families of children with precocious heart disease differ greatly from those of normal children, and the overprotective and coddling parent-child behavior of parents of children with precocious heart disease has a significant impact on the formation and development of the child’s personality. Overprotection and protection tend to reduce and frustrate the child’s self-occupation, thus increasing the sense of fear. Coddled children become overly dependent on their parents due to their childishness, have low social adaptability, and may even develop regressive behaviors. Therefore, psychological rehabilitation should be emphasized along with the physical rehabilitation after surgical correction. After the surgery, in the state of stable condition and satisfactory cardiac function, the child’s activity should be gradually increased and the range of activities should be increased, so that the child can have more contact with children of the same age and establish normal interpersonal relationships through play to eliminate loneliness, and parents should use more encouragement in education, so that the child can do more things within his ability to improve his independent living ability and social adaptability, and change the previous spoiled behavior of doing everything, so that Parents of children with precocious heart disease should seize the opportunity to shape their children after surgical correction, and promote the transition of the child’s character from the formation period to the maturity period with good environmental factors and correct educational methods.
