What is polycystic ovary syndrome?

  Polycystic ovary syndrome is an endocrine disorder in which the ovaries are enlarged and contain many small fluid-filled sacs, with increased levels of androgens and an inability to ovulate. The most distinctive feature is anovulation.  What are the symptoms of polycystic ovary syndrome?  1. Continuous and large amount of estrogen action can result in excessive endometrial hyperplasia, atypical hyperplasia, and even cancer.  What other diseases does polycystic ovary syndrome cause?
