Internal hemorrhoids sitz bath fumigation is a common clinical treatment. Patients should urinate and defecate before the sitz bath, because the stimulation of hot water can lead to urination and defecation reflexes. The patient should take off his pants to his knees before taking a sitz bath and fumigate the anal area with hot water for about ten minutes, with the water temperature controlled at 40-45°C during the fumigation. After the fumigation is completed, the water temperature should be lowered to near normal body temperature, and then the skin of the anus should be washed with gauze dipped in the liquid, and after the water temperature is normal, the patient should sit in the tub for 5-20 minutes, depending on the patient’s ability to tolerate. After the patient has finished the fumigation bath, dry the anus as well as the buttocks with gauze.
