When internal hemorrhoids first start, the symptoms are not obvious and are only detected during a physical examination. However, as the hemorrhoid nucleus gradually increases in size, the symptoms will also gradually worsen. The common symptoms of internal hemorrhoids are as follows: 1. Blood in the stool: painless, intermittent bright red blood after the stool is its characteristic, and is also a common symptom of internal hemorrhoids or mixed hemorrhoids in the early stage, sometimes with a small amount of blood on the surface of the stool, sometimes dripping or shooting blood. Due to feces rubbing the mucous membrane or excessive force during defecation, the pressure inside the blood vessels increases, resulting in rupture of the varicose veins, and then there is jet bleeding during defecation. If the bleeding is repeated for a long time, or a lot of bleeding for many times, it can also cause anemia. 2.Prolapsed hemorrhoid nucleus: It is often a late symptom. Most of them have blood in the stool first and then prolapse, because the size of the hemorrhoid nucleus increases, it is squeezed by the feces when defecating, so that it gradually separates from the muscle layer and prolapses out of the anus. Sometimes 1 or 2 hemorrhoids come out at the same time, and sometimes all of them come out together with the rectal mucosa. Initially, the hemorrhoid only prolapses during defecation and can be returned after defecation. If the symptoms are more severe, the hemorrhoids need to be pushed back by hand or rest in bed before they can be reset. If the symptoms are more serious, in addition to prolapse during defecation, it may prolapse when exerting force, walking, coughing, sneezing, squatting, etc. 3, pain: simple internal hemorrhoids, generally no pain, sometimes only feel the anal part of the swelling or defecation difficulties. If there is inflammation and swelling, there is pain if there is thrombosis or impaction in the hemorrhoid; if the prolapse is not reset in time, the pain is aggravated; if impaction occurs, there is ulceration and necrosis, causing inflammation and edema at the anal edge, the pain is severe and the patient is restless. 4.Mucus outflow: the rectal mucosa is stimulated by hemorrhoids for a long time, causing an increase in secretions; in the late stage of internal hemorrhoids, due to the relaxation of the anal sphincter, there is often secretions flowing out from the anus. In the light case, the secretion flows out when defecating, and in the heavy case, it flows out naturally even when not defecating. When the internal hemorrhoid is prolapsed, the secretion will be more. 5.Itching: Due to the stimulation of secretion or prolapsed hemorrhoid nucleus, it makes the area around the anus moist and unclean, eczema and itching occur. The itching sometimes lasts for a long time due to the repeated action of the prolapsed internal hemorrhoid. 6, internal hemorrhoid attack: internal hemorrhoids usually have mild symptoms, no pain, such as constipation or diarrhea will be aggravated, known as internal hemorrhoid attack. When internal hemorrhoids attack, the nucleus of the hemorrhoid suddenly swells, protrudes, burns, and is painful, with the feeling of pulsation and foreign body filling. Due to the compression of dry and hard stool, the nucleus of the hemorrhoid is prone to infection and bleeding, and the attack usually lasts for 3 to 5 days. If treated properly, the swelling will gradually disappear and the blood clot will be absorbed. The hemorrhoid nucleus becomes softer and smaller. However, due to infection, septicemia, ulceration or obstruction of blood circulation, the nucleus can become necrotic, making the condition worse.
