How is tuberculosis caused?

Tuberculosis, commonly known as “consumption” or “consumption”, is a chronic infectious disease caused by the invasion of Mycobacterium tuberculosis into the body. The disease can develop in all organs of the body. When tuberculosis occurs in any organ, it is called tuberculosis of that organ. For example, TB in the lungs is called pulmonary TB; in the intestines is called intestinal TB; in the bones is called bone TB, etc. When Mycobacterium tuberculosis invades the body, it is medically called a tuberculosis infection. The infected person does not always develop the disease, but only when the body’s resistance is reduced and the amount of invading bacteria is high. Since Mycobacterium tuberculosis is mainly transmitted through the human respiratory tract, pulmonary tuberculosis is the most common form of tuberculosis.
