What are the characteristics of liver cancer interventional treatment?

Primary hepatocellular carcinoma is one of the most common malignant tumors in China. The etiology has various factors, among which hepatitis B virus infection is the most closely related. The clinical manifestations include progressive enlargement and hardness of liver, pain in liver area, emaciation, fever and weakness. Since the onset of hepatocellular carcinoma is relatively insidious, it is difficult to be detected at the early stage, and the time for surgery is lost when clinical symptoms appear. Currently, percutaneous hepatic artery cannulation and chemoembolization is one of the most commonly used interventional treatments for hepatocellular carcinoma, which is widely used in the clinical non-surgical treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma. Moreover, after the interventional treatment, most of the patients get obvious relief of clinical symptoms, which prolongs the survival period and improves the quality of life of patients. Mechanism of liver cancer interventional therapy: It is a new method of percutaneous puncture of arterial catheter to infuse chemotherapeutic drugs into tumor, and then embolization of tumor vessels with embolic agent through arterial catheter to cause ischemic necrosis of tumor tissues. Advantages of interventional therapy: 1, minimally invasive 2, safe 3, good efficacy 4, less painful 5, fast recovery 6, less complications 7, repeatability (new lesions can be re-intervened to achieve better clinical efficacy).
