The number of AIDS patients is still increasing, and with the further implementation of the “four free and one care” policy, the increase of intervention and screening, especially the widespread implementation of free antiretroviral therapy, AIDS patients and medical personnel are facing many problems such as treatment adherence, adverse drug reactions, and so on. We have collected clinical data of 121 AIDS patients hospitalized from 2004 to June 2010, and found that the proportion of liver function abnormalities reached 87.6%, and there are various reasons, which affect the patients’ treatment adherence and efficacy, life and even survival, so we should pay special attention to them! And in the last three years, we have been grading the treatment of liver injury in AIDS patients and achieved obvious results. Through these years of research, we recommend to do the following points to strive to prevent liver injury and standardize liver protection treatment!
, early detection, early diagnosis: from our hospital data found that the average duration of AIDS 5.1 months, 63% of cases in more than 3 months, especially AIDS IV liver function abnormalities in a higher proportion, so there is AIDS high-risk behavior and multiple sexual partners to timely to the CDC or medical institutions for consultation and screening, and HIV (HIV) infected patients to regularly to the hospital to recheck CD4 + count, viral load and Liver and kidney function, blood routine, etc., for early detection, early diagnosis, to avoid obvious abnormalities in liver function and very poor health condition before diagnosis and treatment!
, timely antiviral treatment to reduce opportunistic infections: from our data, we found that the lower the CD4+ count of AIDS patients, the more likely to appear fungal, tuberculosis and other opportunistic infections, and these infections easily lead to malnutrition, hypoproteinemia, and some opportunistic infections also directly damage the liver. Therefore, once the time for antiviral treatment is reached and you are willing, you should go to the designated hospital for antiviral treatment in time to rebuild the immune function of the body and reduce the occurrence of opportunistic infections.
, treatment of comorbidities: AIDS patients are mainly infected by unclean injections and sexual life, in addition to tuberculosis, fungal and other opportunistic infections, most also combined with hepatitis B, hepatitis C, cirrhosis, etc., these complications can also lead to liver damage, so before starting antiviral to deal with these complications, in the antiviral period should also be regularly tested, at any time treatment, to reduce the chance of liver damage, improve the antiviral treatment Safety and dependence of antiviral therapy to ensure the smooth implementation of antiviral therapy.
, standardized liver protection treatment: when liver injury or expected opportunistic infections and anti-opportunistic infections, antiviral treatment will lead to liver injury, under the guidance of infectious disease physicians to carry out standardized liver protection treatment to improve the success rate of treatment; according to the last three years, according to the different degrees of liver injury, we graded to give oral, intramuscular injection, static drip of different liver protection, liver protection drugs, and achieved very good results. This has significantly improved the quality of life of the patients and prolonged the survival period.
, regular follow-up, scientific assessment: whether the infected or patients, whether antiviral treatment or not, should go to the designated hospital for regular follow-up, to be scientifically assessed by a specialist physician on the condition, disease duration, the effect of treatment and drug adverse reactions, timely and reasonable treatment and adjustment, never let go and purchase their own treatment, not to mention the discontinuation of drugs!
, establish confidence, happy life: from our more than 10 years of treatment to see, before treatment with or without liver function abnormalities, liver damage, generally does not affect the prognosis, but if liver function abnormalities are found, scientific standardized liver care treatment can improve the survival rate to more than 80%, many patients return to society, work and live as normal people, so the treatment must have confidence, as happy!
