How long does it take to bend a broken finger?

It usually takes 4-6 weeks before a finger fracture can be bent. For minor fractures, the finger should be splinted or fixed in a cast for one month, during which time the finger should not be bent. For more serious fractures, a plate fixation and a plaster cast are required to protect the fracture site. If the fracture heals well, the plate can be removed and passive finger flexion and extension can be performed under medical supervision. The patient’s activities should not cause obvious pain, the strength should be small at the beginning, the time of exercise should be short, and the amount of activity should be gradually increased. At the same time, regular review is required during the exercise period to observe the fracture recovery, and the finger can be restored to normal through one month of exercise. In short, the finger fracture needs to be formulated according to the severity of the fracture injury, different treatment plans, according to the doctor’s instructions to guide the bending exercise, to avoid exercising too early, causing the displacement of the fracture.
