Symptoms of myocardial weakness

There is no clinical term for myocardial weakness. Myocardial weakness is generally understood as heart failure, a clinical syndrome caused by a decrease in the contractility of the heart muscle itself, resulting in insufficient blood ejection from the heart muscle and inadequate perfusion of the tissue organs. The clinical manifestations of heart failure need to be differentiated according to the location of heart failure, which is usually divided into left heart failure, right heart failure and total heart failure. 1. Left heart failure: Patients with left heart failure have dyspnea as the main manifestation, which usually appears as exertional, nocturnal paroxysmal dyspnea, or in severe cases, seated breathing and inability to lie down. In addition to this, patients may also have palpitations, weakness, dizziness, etc. They may also show symptoms of some underlying diseases that cause heart failure, such as chronic ischemic cardiomyopathy leading to left heart failure, and patients may have exertional chest tightness and chest pain symptoms. If the heart failure is caused by long-term hypertension, patients may have symptoms related to elevated blood pressure, dizziness, blackness and so on; 2. Right heart failure: clinically, some patients also exhibit right heart failure, which is mostly seen in primary lung diseases, i.e. pulmonary heart disease. These patients may also exhibit dyspnea, mostly related to exertion, with decreased activity tolerance, accompanied by bruising of the body circulation, and may present with anorexia, edema, abdominal distension, etc. A variety of non-specific symptoms; 3. Total heart failure: In patients with total heart failure, symptoms of both left heart failure and right heart failure may appear, as well as some manifestations of inadequate perfusion of important organs such as oliguria and chills in the extremities. In addition, myocardial weakness may also refer to coronary artery disease, with common symptoms such as chest tightness, pain in the retrosternal and precordial regions, left shoulder and back with shortness of breath, and toothache. It may also refer to cardiomyopathy, which causes symptoms such as palpitations, shortness of breath, and difficulty breathing after activity. Therefore, myocardial weakness should be actively treated by a doctor in case of uncertainty about the cause, combined with other tests to confirm the diagnosis and treat the cause.
