  It is characterized by paroxysmal, head-position changes with characteristic nystagmus, transient: incubation period of zero to 15 seconds, individually up to 35 seconds, duration of less than 60 seconds for canal stones and more than or equal to 60 seconds for jugular crest stones. And there is mostly fatigue, i.e., self-remission. Therefore it is a self-limiting disease, i.e. it sometimes remits or even heals on its own.
