Air conditioning is not blowing well, prone to heart disease

I’m sure no one has forgotten last year’s scorching summer heat. In order to avoid the heat, more and more people are hiding in the air-conditioned rooms to enjoy the cool. But did you know that prolonged air conditioning can also induce serious heart disease? The greater the temperature difference between indoors and outdoors, the more likely it is to induce coronary angina. In summer, the outdoor heat is hot, and the blood vessels under the skin expand in order to dissipate heat. And suddenly entering a particularly cool air-conditioned room will cause the blood vessels to contract for a short time. On the one hand, it will cause a sudden rise in circulating pressure, sharply rising blood pressure, on the other hand, this vasoconstriction may cause the original coronary plaque rupture, the occurrence of acute myocardial infarction, serious cases can even occur sudden death. Therefore, it is generally not recommended to set the air conditioning at a relatively low temperature, we recommend setting it at 26° or above, which can reduce the risk of inducing angina pectoris in patients with coronary artery disease. At the same time, frequent fluctuations in blood pressure can increase the occurrence of arrhythmias, so some patients feel uncomfortable with panic when it is hot or cold, which is also directly related to temperature changes. In air-conditioned rooms, most people close the doors and windows tightly to avoid losing cold air. And if the room is more airtight, this closed environment has no ventilation, the indoor air will become more and more dirty, the oxygen content of the air is reduced, and at the same time will breed bacteria. For patients who have chronic heart failure themselves, there may be a higher risk of inducing an acute attack of chronic heart failure because of this coolness plus low oxygen. The increase in bacteria, in turn, can increase the risk of upper respiratory tract infections and even serious infections such as pneumonia in heart patients whose resistance is already poor. In the end, how to blow the air conditioner, in order to try to avoid inducing heart disease? We suggest: 1, try to set the air conditioning at 26 ℃ or more, as far as possible with a relatively soft wind gear, to avoid cold air blowing hard on the body. 2, to open more windows for ventilation, at least 4 times a day, and night within the night is not recommended to use air conditioning overnight. 3, from the outside into the air-conditioned room, be sure to dry the body sweat as soon as possible, to avoid blowing the air conditioning bare body. 4, in the summer to strive to clean the air conditioning every month to avoid breeding bacteria. If you have symptoms such as chest discomfort in the summer, pay close attention to whether it is due to “blowing air conditioning” caused by the aggravation of heart disease. As always, we will provide you with the most prompt medical assistance.
