What is the troponin index in myocardial infarction?

In acute myocardial infarction, cardiac troponin T (cTnT)>0.5 μg/L and cardiac troponin I (cTnI)>1.5 μg/L are present. The commonly used clinical troponins are categorized as cardiac troponin T (cTnT) and cardiac troponin I (cTnI), both of which can be used as markers of myocardial necrosis. cTnT has a normal value of 0.02-0.13 μg/L, with >0.2 μg/L as the critical value; cTnI has a normal range of <0.2 μg/L. Both cTnT and cTnI can diagnose acute myocardial infarction and also determine whether there is myocardial injury, of which cTnT can also predict cardiovascular events in hemodialysis patients. Abnormalities in cardiac troponin indices should be treated promptly and in accordance with medical advice.
