STDs are not necessarily AIDS. STDs refer to a variety of diseases that are transmitted through sexual contact, similar sexual contact, and it includes many kinds, the more common ones are syphilis, gonorrhea, Chlamydia trachomatis infection of the genital tract, condyloma acuminata, genital herpes, and AIDS. So AIDS is only one of the sexually transmitted diseases. There are many types of STDs, some easily curable and some not, such as gonorrhea, non-gonococcal urethritis, and early syphilis, which can be treated with appropriate antibiotics to achieve a clinical and pathogenic cure. But genital herpes, condyloma acuminata, and especially AIDS, are very difficult to cure, so prevention of STDs is important.
