Upper lid laxity correction

Many people who are in their thirties will find that the distance between the eyelid line and the upper eyelid margin becomes closer and closer, and the eyelids become narrower and narrower, and the eyes may even become inner double as time passes. This is because as we age, the upper eyelid skin becomes saggy to varying degrees, obscuring the natural eyelid line and changing the shape of the eyes. Due to aging skin and gravity, the height of the eyebrows slowly decreases after a certain age, and the upper lid skin gradually ages and thins, loses elasticity, and becomes wrinkled. The excess loose skin accumulates on the upper lid, resulting in gravitational drooping of the upper lid, covering the original eyelids, thinning of the orbicularis muscle, relaxation of the orbital septum, and bulging of the orbital fat, making the upper lid appear bloated. If this is allowed to develop, the outer canthus will droop and the lid fissure will become triangular, i.e., an age-related triangle eye. The drooping eyelids often obscure part of the vision of older people, reducing their field of vision and, in severe cases, affecting their eyesight, resulting in fatigue and blurred vision. They look tired, haggard and show their “old look” early, so they should be removed through cosmetic surgery. In addition to affecting the appearance, under-eye bags will also impede the blood circulation of the eyes, which will reduce the performance of collagen fibers in the dermis and weaken the elasticity, causing the skin to sag and wrinkle, and intensifying the formation of crow’s feet. The skin of people will become saggy with age, and after the age of 30, the skin of the eyelids will sag to varying degrees. In mild cases, sagging eyelids can make the eye fissure smaller and more distorted, commonly known as “triangle eyes” or “inner double”. In severe cases, drooping eyelids can affect vision. Both of these conditions can be corrected with upper eyelid laxity surgery, and the results can be very good. The procedure is minimally invasive and removes excess skin from the upper eyelid, lifts the upper eyelid fascia and corrugator muscle, restores the drooping eyelids and enlarges the eyelid fissure. The surgical incision is very concealed and the scars are barely visible. 1. Upper eyelid laxity correction with a heavy eyelid incision: Simple blepharoplasty removes excess lax skin while simultaneously doing double eyelid surgery. In the past, this method was often used, but the swelling takes longer and the recovery is slower, and the eyelid becomes natural only after six months. The cost of the surgery is 4150 RMB. 2. Eyebrow incision for upper eyelid laxity correction: Eyebrow lift and brow cut surgery is performed by lifting the eyebrow or brow cut to lift the lax upper eyelid skin to improve the symptoms. The brow and upper eyebrow margin and lower eyebrow margin incisions are chosen according to the patient’s eyebrow-eye distance. If combined with a frontotemporal wrinkle reduction, the procedure can be used to improve the symptoms of aging. The cost of the procedure is $3480.
