What happens if mastocytosis is not treated?

Mastocytosis is a general term for a group of diseases in which the basic pathological change is the proliferation of epithelial cells and connective tissue in the breast, alveoli and ducts, and is also called breast pain because of the typical symptoms of breast swelling and pain. What happens if mastocytosis is not treated? If the disease is not taken seriously, the pain will become more and more severe and may even become cancerous. Mastocytosis is a non-inflammatory disease of the breast, also known as lobular hyperplasia and chronic cystic breast disease. It is mostly seen in women between the ages of 25 and 40. The main clinical manifestations are breast swelling and pain and lumps in the breast. Breast lumps are more painful before menstruation and less painful after menstruation. The lumps are multiple and can be seen in one or both breasts. The disease has a long and slow progression and may be accompanied by nipple discharge. Cancer may occur in about 2-3% of patients. If the mammary gland hyperplasia is not treated, it may cause the following consequences: 1, breast pain: often swelling or stabbing pain, can involve one or both breasts, with one side more common, the pain is severe enough not to touch, and even affect daily life and work. 2. Menstrual disorders: Patients with this disease can see menstrual disorders, early menstruation, low menstrual volume or light color, delayed menstruation, dripping, and may be accompanied by dysmenorrhea. In addition, some patients may suffer from bitterness in the mouth, distension in the ribs, lack of appetite, distension and fullness in the upper abdomen, dry stools, insomnia and dreaminess. 3.Emotional changes: Patients often feel upset or irritable, and their symptoms increase after anger, stress or exertion, and decrease when they are emotionally stable or in a relaxed mood. And a few patients may have nipple overflow, which is spontaneous, straw yellow or brown plasma overflow. 4. Occasional cancer: Although it is still uncertain whether there is a direct relationship between this disease and breast cancer. However, experts believe that cystic breast hyperplasia will have a certain chance of cancerous transformation when the proliferated tissues keep necrosis in the development and the body is subjected to such chronic stimulation.
