Bronchopneumonia infusion takes several days

The general duration of infusion for bronchopneumonia is usually 7-10 days, but it depends on the severity of the patient’s disease, individual circumstances, and how effective the treatment is. Bronchopneumonia can be divided into viral and bacterial bronchopneumonia depending on the pathogen. In the case of bacterial infections, the patient will experience significant fever, cough, sputum, malaise and other discomforts, and will need to be seen by a respiratory clinic for intravenous antibiotic infusion. At the same time, sputum culture can also be done to find the causative organism and then specific antibiotics can be administered. If the infection is caused by a virus, symptomatic treatment with antiviral therapy such as ribavirin and acyclovir is needed. There is also the possibility that mycoplasma infection may be the cause, which also requires appropriate antibiotic treatment. Pneumonia is a serious lung disease and patients are advised to seek medical advice promptly and not to take medication at home to avoid delays due to incorrect medication.
