How to reduce the swelling of the eye with a needle eye

This is an acute inflammatory disease caused by septic bacteria invading the eyelid glands, manifesting as swelling, pain, and tearing. Treatment: Patients with mydriasis can use antibiotic eye drops under the guidance of a doctor, commonly used are oxyfloxacin eye drops, tobramycin eye drops, etc. Antibiotic eye ointment such as erythromycin can be used at night before going to bed. For recurrent attacks and those with systemic symptoms, antibiotic drugs such as cephalosporin and roxithromycin should be given orally to control the infection and thus effectively improve the swelling; 3. Physical therapy: using ultrashort wave physical therapy or laser physical therapy can promote rapid absorption of infiltrates and hard nodes or dissipation of abscesses; 4. Surgical drainage: this can promote pus drainage, facilitate wound healing, and reduce local swelling and pain in the eyelid. However, it is not advisable to cut the abscess when it is not yet mature in patients with mydriasis, and you should not squeeze it by hand to drain the pus by yourself, otherwise it will easily cause secondary infection, leading to cavernous sinus phlebitis or eyelid cellulitis, which can even be life-threatening in severe cases. When an abscess forms, if it does not break down or if it breaks down but does not drain well, incision and drainage is recommended on the basis of antibiotics applied under the guidance of a doctor. Patients also need to take care to ensure eye hygiene in daily life, not to rub their eyes with their hands, and to avoid wearing contact lenses as much as possible.
