Non-surgical treatment cannot correct O-leg. Conservative treatment can only reduce the patient’s pain and discomfort, mainly by reducing weight and doing less strenuous exercises such as running and climbing to reduce the pressure on the medial knee joint. Attention is also paid to exercising the muscle strength of the leg and exercising the flexibility of the knee joint to reduce the discomfort of the knee joint. However, as the cause of O-leg persists, once the symptoms have subsided, the patient will experience recurrent knee discomfort once he/she has increased exercise and gained weight.
