Gastroenterology or anorectology for proctitis

Proctitis is best dealt with in the anorectal department, but the exact department depends on the size of the hospital and the setup of the department. If it is in a general hospital, proctitis patients can consult the anorectal department. If there is no anorectal department, you can also consult the general surgery and gastroenterology. Proctitis is an inflammatory condition that occurs in the rectum and can be caused by bacterial, viral, or chlamydial infections as well as inflammatory bowel disease or trauma. The common symptoms are anal discomfort, urgency, bloody stools, mucus stools, mucous bloody stools, and diarrhea. Fecal bacterial culture and pathology are usually required, and diagnosis is made by proctoscopy. Proctitis is recommended to consult a doctor for timely and targeted treatment. Please do not take medication on your own to avoid delaying the condition.
