Examination of conjunctival edema and corneal ulcers

Various pathogenic factors put the conjunctiva in a damaged state, causing lesions that lead to edema called conjunctival edema; if not properly taken care of, it can cause keratitis and corneal ulcers in mild cases, or infection or even blindness in severe cases. What are the tests for conjunctival edema and corneal ulcers? 1.Check the systemic and local pathogenic factors. 2.Smear examination, bacterial and fungal culture and drug sensitivity test should be done for septic inflammation. 3, dendritic and superficial punctate keratitis do immunological examination, etc. The cornea is the most front layer of transparent film of the eye, often exposed to the air, exposure to germs more opportunities. Corneal ulcers often occur due to trauma such as foreign bodies, injury after removal of corneal foreign bodies, as well as trachoma and its complications, entropion impingement on the cornea, bacteria, viruses or fungi take advantage of the opportunity to enter and cause infection. In addition, such as tuberculosis-induced allergic reactions, vitamin A deficiency, facial palsy and eyelid scarring resulting in poor eyelid closure can cause corneal ulcers.
