How long is a typical hospital stay for tuberculosis?

The length of hospitalization for tuberculosis varies from patient to patient depending on the severity of the disease and individual circumstances, with most patients requiring about 15-30 days. Tuberculosis is a common infectious disease of the respiratory tract, mainly caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis, and is somewhat infectious. For primary tuberculosis, patients with mild infection can be discharged within 1-2 weeks after a full course and dose of anti-tuberculosis treatment, at which point they can be discharged with a negative virus test. For relapsing or refractory TB, the treatment is more difficult and the disease is more stubborn, so the treatment time may be longer. For open, active tuberculosis, patients need to be treated in isolation and discharged when the viral test is negative, and treatment needs to be consolidated after discharge. In addition, patients with tuberculosis should take rest, pay attention to nutritional supplements, eat more protein-rich foods, and avoid spicy and stimulating foods as much as possible.
