There may be complications such as dyspepsia, intestinal adhesion, recurrence of tumor and metastasis after resection of pancreatic head tumor. 1. Dyspepsia: a few patients may have dyspepsia due to the decrease of pancreatic fluid after resection of pancreatic head tumor, thus causing dyspepsia. Therefore, after resection of pancreatic head tumor, light and easy-to-absorb food should be the mainstay, and the intake of high-fat and high-protein food should be reduced appropriately. 2. Intestinal adhesion: after resection of pancreatic head tumor, due to mechanical stimulation of peritoneum and plasma membrane of intestinal wall, it leads to intestinal adhesion, which affects the normal operation of intestinal contents and leads to chronic abdominal pain, vomiting, abdominal distension, stopping of bowel movement and defecation and other symptoms. 3. Tumor recurrence and metastasis: malignant tumors of duodenal jugular abdomen and head of pancreas are of high malignant degree. Once the tumor of head of pancreas is resected, there is a risk of recurrence and metastasis, such as hepatic metastasis and lymphatic metastasis, which lead to manifestations of hepatic enlargement and lymph node enlargement and so on. After the resection of pancreatic head tumor, you should consult the doctor immediately if you have uncomfortable symptoms, and standardize the treatment under the doctor’s guidance, usually pay attention to light diet and regular review.
