The main treatment is pharmacological, with ethamazine being the drug of choice for treatment, which has a killing effect on microfilariae, and treatment is divided into short, medium and intermittent courses.
Clinical treatment will be symptomatic depending on the different clinical manifestations (lymphadenitis, lymphangitis, celiac disease, elephantiasis and lymphoedema).
