Efficacy and effects of mifepristone

  Mifepristone is an anti-progestational drug that antagonizes the action of progesterone, and has the effects of terminating early pregnancy, anti-breeding, inducing menstruation and promoting cervical maturation, etc. It can be used in combination with prostaglandin drugs in a sequential manner to terminate pregnancy within 49 days.  Mifepristone tablet size is 25mg. dosage: For healthy women with early pregnancy ≤ 49 days after menopause, take 25mg-50mg (1~2 tablets) of mifepristone tablets orally twice a day for 2~3 days after 2 hours of fasting or eating, total 150mg (6 tablets), fast for 2 hours after each dose, and take 600μg of misoprostol orally in the morning of the 3rd~4th day (200μg/tablet x 3 tablets). The first day of the course is a day of rest, and the first day of the course is a day of rest. Bed rest for 1 to 2 hours and outpatient observation for 6 hours. Pay attention to bleeding after administration of the drug, any pregnancy products excretion and side effects.  For confirmed early pregnancy, mifepristone should be taken within 49 days of menopause, the shorter the gestation period, the better the effect; after taking the drug, a small amount of vaginal bleeding usually occurs earlier, some women have longer bleeding after miscarriage, a few early pregnant women can spontaneously abort after taking mifepristone tablets, about 80% of pregnant women expel the chorionic follicle within 6 hours after using prostaglandin-based drugs, about 10% of pregnant women expel the pregnancy products after taking the drug About 80% of pregnant women expel the chorionic vesicle within 6 hours after using prostaglandins, and about 10% of pregnant women expel the pregnancy within one week after taking mifepristone; 8-15 days after taking mifepristone, they should go to the original treatment unit for follow-up examination to determine the abortion effect, and if necessary, B-type ultrasound examination or blood HCG determination should be done.  Finally, mifepristone tablets are prescription drugs and need to be strictly grasped for indications and contraindications. They should not be taken without authorization and must be used under conditions of emergency, curettage surgery and transfusion and blood transfusion, and if heavy bleeding or other abnormalities occur during treatment or follow-up, prompt medical attention should be sought.
