What should I do if I can’t move my fingers after a trauma?

Many patients are unable to move their fingers after trauma for various reasons, but do not seek medical attention in time. Patients themselves often think that it has been so long that there is no hope, but this is not the case! Although the inability to move the finger after trauma can be due to many reasons: 1. nerve damage; 2. vascular damage; 3. muscle damage. The second of these is the main cause of ischemic muscle contracture, and such patients have partial loss of finger function, which is manifested by the inability to straighten the bent fingers. This and the other 2 types of diseases actually have some ways to restore the function of the finger, such as muscle transplantation! This is a very demanding type of surgery and rehabilitation and is rarely performed in general hospitals. However, please keep in mind that this type of disease can be treated by this type of method.
