After the fracture is fixed in plaster, the following points should be noted: First, observe the blood circulation, expose the toe, observe the color, temperature, activity, sensation and movement of the toe, and do a pressure test to see the blood circulation. Secondly, elevate the affected limb, padding the affected limb with a quilt or pillow to 30-45 degrees, which is conducive to swelling of the limb. Thirdly, instruct the patient to move the affected limb, such as moving the fingers and toes, and moving the joints that are not fixed, such as flexion and extension, extension and contraction. Fourthly, regular review, after the cast, X-ray should be taken regularly to understand the fracture healing situation. Fifth, adjust the tightness in time. After the cast is fixed, there is a retraction of one thousandth of the cast, so it should be prevented from being too tight and causing pressure ulcers. If there is a point of fixation pain in the cast, it means that there is a pressure ulcer, so the bandage should be loosened early to prevent ulcers from forming bedsores. Sixth, timely removal of the cast, after the fracture is healed, the cast should be removed as soon as possible to carry out the activities of the affected limb and resume normal life.
