Pharyngitis is a common inflammatory disease of the upper respiratory tract. The body has a special defense function, and the respiratory tract is no exception. The immune function of the respiratory tract is mainly expressed by causing a cough. The coughing process is mainly a protection of the respiratory tract against itself. During the onset of pharyngitis, some secretions may appear. In order to clear these secretions, the respiratory tract initiates a cough response through a series of special mechanisms to clear these respiratory secretions out of the body. This is the reason why cough symptoms occur in most respiratory diseases. Cough symptoms caused by pharyngitis are mainly a dry cough, with very little sputum seen. It is usually more pronounced in the morning and in severe cases is accompanied by dry coughing, mainly as a reaction to the marked mucous membrane proliferation bulge in the larynx. This reaction can take different forms of coughing. In milder cases, only throat-clearing movements are manifested, and sometimes a spasmodic cough may occur, but it is less common. It is important to note that in the course of pharyngitis, if there is an acute bacterial infection, there is a more pronounced and violent cough accompanied by sputum of various colors and appearances. When pharyngitis attacks cough, you can use coughing capsules or compound licorice tablets, usually eat less spicy and stimulating food, you can drink more cool white water.
