Can true myopia be restored to normal?

Patients with true myopia are not reversible. True myopia is usually defined as myopia of 50 degrees or more, or myopia with astigmatism of 75 degrees or more. True myopia is mainly caused by axial myopia and changes in corneal curvature, where the eye axis elongates and the scleral length changes, and this change is impossible to change by any means. True myopia can only prevent the growth of the prescription, but it is not possible to remove the intraocular changes of true myopia. Even in adulthood, the refractive error can be changed by laser surgery and lens replacement, while the pathological changes of myopia, such as the length of the eye axis and the thickness of the choroid, cannot be changed.
