Surgery is the mainstay of treatment for duodenal neuroendocrine tumors and is currently the only possible cure for this type of disease. For patients with progressive stage, biotherapy, chemotherapy, radiotherapy or targeted therapy can be given with the aim of controlling functional tumor symptoms and/or delaying tumor progression. 1. Surgery: for early stage highly differentiated tumors without obvious metastasis, endoscopic resection or radical resection can be given according to the situation; for some advanced or metastatic tumors, palliative surgery can effectively control the symptoms of functional tumors or reduce the load of non-functional tumors, so as to improve the quality of life and prolong the survival period. 2. Biological therapy: mainly includes interferon, octreotide, lanreotide and its long-acting preparation and other drugs. 3. Chemotherapy: mainly doxorubicin, fluorouracil, streptozotocin, dacarbazine, cisplatin, paclitaxel and other drugs. 4. External radiation therapy is of little significance for duodenal neuroendocrine tumors and is only applicable to patients with brain metastases that cannot be treated surgically or to control pain caused by bone metastases. If duodenal neuroendocrine tumor is diagnosed, don’t give up the treatment, go to the hospital immediately and under the guidance of doctors, which can effectively prolong the life of patients and improve their quality of life.
