On April 18, 2008, our department invited Professor Randall K. Wolf from the United States to hold a lecture on minimally invasive treatment of atrial fibrillation, introducing new advances in international surgical treatment of atrial fibrillation and performing surgical demonstrations. Professor Randall K. Wolf is the director of the Center for New Technologies in Surgery at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and the president of the International Society for Minimally Invasive Cardiothoracic Surgery, etc. Professor Wolf has pioneered a number of minimally invasive surgical treatment techniques, and his pioneering minimally invasive surgical ablation procedure has been named the “Wolf Mini-Maze procedure by the medical community.
