What diseases are included in thyroid adenoma?

Thyroid adenomas include follicular adenomas (mostly embryonal adenomas, fetal adenomas, simple adenomas, and school-like adenomas on microscopy) and specific types of adenomas (eosinophilic adenomas, atypical adenomas, clear cell adenomas, adenomas with clear degeneration, and adenolipomas).       Thyroid adenomas are benign tumors originating from follicular cells of the thyroid gland, and their etiology is unknown. It may be related to gender, oncogene, genetic factors, radiation exposure, and TSH hyperstimulation. The age of predilection is 20-40 years. It is difficult to distinguish clinically from nodular goiter. Thyroid adenoma is associated with hyperthyroidism in 20% of cases and has a 10% malignancy rate. Therefore, early surgical removal is necessary!
