Preventive measures for influenza in winter and spring

Influenza, short for influenza, is a respiratory infection caused by the influenza virus, with a sudden onset and strong infectious nature, which can easily lead to other serious complications. It is classified as a “Class C” infectious disease in the latest revision of the Infectious Disease Control Law. In China, the epidemic season of influenza is mainly from November to February, with some influenza extending into spring and even summer. Influenza is caused by infection with the influenza virus and is spread mainly by airborne droplets, which are spread by inhaling droplets containing the virus in the air or by contact with objects contaminated by infected patients. Symptoms begin to appear 1 to 4 days after infection with the virus. Both the human flu and the common cold are acute respiratory infections, both of which occur in the winter, and both have varying degrees of fever and respiratory symptoms. Influenza, short for influenza, is a respiratory infection caused by the influenza virus, with sudden onset and inhalation symptoms. Of course, human influenza is not the same as the common cold. Common cold – caused by a variety of viruses such as rhinovirus, coronavirus, and adenovirus. It can occur in all seasons. Infection rate is only 10%. Systemic symptoms of intoxication are mild and fever is low, but respiratory symptoms are obvious, often starting with dryness in the nasopharynx and sneezing, followed by symptoms such as runny nose and nasal congestion. A person can have the common cold repeatedly in a short period of time. The common cold is less likely to have complications and most have a good prognosis. The dangers arising from influenza are far more serious than those of the common cold. It is recognized by the medical community that influenza is as dangerous as AIDS and war. There have been more than 30 influenza epidemics or pandemics worldwide since they were first documented in 1580. The largest influenza pandemic occurred around 1919, the famous “Spanish Flu”, causing more than 20 million deaths, more than the number of deaths in World War I, the first of all infectious disease deaths worldwide. The preventive measures for influenza are: 1. When the body is cold, the respiratory tract vasoconstriction, blood supply is reduced, local resistance is reduced, the virus is easy to invade. 2, regular ventilation of indoor air. Open the windows regularly to keep the air circulating, and let the sunlight come into the room because the ultraviolet ray in the sunlight has the effect of sterilization, and also use vinegar to fumigate the room to play the effect of disinfection. 3.Supplement nutrition. Increase the intake of water, dry winter climate, high air dust content, the human nasal mucosa is easily damaged, through the supplemental water, so that the nasal mucosa to keep moist, can effectively resist the invasion of viruses, pay attention to more supplemental fish, broth, eggs, milk and other foods with high nutritional value, enhance the immune function of the body; eat more fresh vegetables and fruits, can neutralize toxins in the body, improve the ability to resist disease; also conducive to the excretion of toxins in the body, purify Internal environment. 4, sufficient sleep. Adequate sleep can eliminate fatigue, regulate various functions of the body, enhance immunity. 5, strengthen exercise, enhance physical fitness. Physical exercise can enhance blood circulation, improve immunity, but foggy days do not exercise in the morning, because the fog not only contains a lot of harmful substances, and more water vapor, will affect the human lung gas exchange. 6, good personal hygiene. Be careful to wash your hands and rinse your mouth, do not touch your face, eyes and mouth with dirty hands; try to stand in a place with clear air when you go out; try to go to less crowded public places; wear a mask when you go out on a foggy day. 7. Standardize the treatment of asthma. The hormone levels detected in the bodies of children who died of influenza in Hong Kong are suspected to be due to asthma, which is usually caused by the decrease in the immune function of the body due to taking more hormones. Only standardized asthma treatment, mainly by inhalation, to minimize the number of attacks, reduce the injection and oral use of corticosteroids. 8.Immunization prevention. Before the disease epidemic, you can go to the epidemic prevention station or regular hospital for the corresponding vaccination. The recommended vaccination population is: (1), people over 60 years old; (2), patients with chronic diseases and the frail and sick; (3), staff of medical and health institutions, especially front-line staff; (4), elementary school students and kindergarten children; (5), staff of nursing homes, elderly care centers, child care institutions; (6), service industry employees, especially cab drivers, civil aviation, railroads, highway traffic (6), service industry employees, especially taxi drivers, civil aviation, railway, highway traffic, commercial and tourism service employees, etc.; (7), frequent business trips or travelers to home and abroad.
