Do small lung nodules heal on their own?

Pulmonary nodules have the potential to heal themselves, but most require treatment, and whether they can be cured depends on the nature of the nodule to be judged accordingly. In general, new pulmonary nodules caused by infection may be cured with anti-inflammatory treatment. Pulmonary nodules caused by mild infections, especially in the early stages of infection, have the potential to heal on their own if the patient has a strong resistance. In some patients, pulmonary nodules caused by inflammatory infections may persist or even increase in number if they are not treated promptly. In the case of tuberculosis or old lesions, they may remain unchanged for a long time and need to be reviewed regularly at six-month intervals to see if there are any changes. If it is a malignant pulmonary nodule, it will not heal on its own and the nodule may further increase in size, requiring timely surgery to remove it, followed by pathological examination to determine if there are any other risks. Lung diseases and the usual life more closely related, such as smoking and long-term in a bad environment, will lead to lung disease, so pay attention to minimize smoking, out of the dust pollution environment.
