Annual incidence of intracranial and spinal cord tumors

The annual incidence rate of primary intracranial tumors is 7.8-12.5/100,000 people in foreign resident surveys. In China, the annual incidence rate of intracranial tumors is generally considered to be 100/100,000, i.e., about 1 case of intracranial tumor occurs in every 10,000 people per year. The incidence rate in Beijing urban area is 36.6/100,000 people. Spinal cord tumor incidence is 2.5 per 100,000 population per year. The incidence rate is similar in men and women, but spinal meningiomas are more common in women and ventricular meningiomas are more common in men. The incidence of thoracic spinal cord segment is higher. (The above is extracted from Wang Loyalty Neurosurgery) Xu Jun, Department of Neurosurgery, General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University
