What are the clinical manifestations and diagnosis of eosinophilic bronchiolitis

Eosinophilic bronchitis presents mainly with a chronic irritating cough, and diagnosis is based on sputum cytology. Eosinophilic bronchitis can occur at any age, but is more common in young adults and more common in men than women. The main manifestation is chronic irritant cough, usually dry cough, occasionally cough a little mucus sputum, can be in the daytime or night cough, some patients are sensitive to fumes, dust, odor or cold air, often for the cough triggering factors. The duration of the disease can be up to several years or more. Some patients are accompanied by symptoms of allergic rhinitis. The clinical manifestations of eosinophilic bronchitis lack specificity, and the diagnosis mainly relies on induced sputum cytology. Induced sputum cytology shows that eosinophils account for 3% of leukocytes, combined with clinical symptoms and pulmonary function tests, and after excluding other diseases that cause eosinophilia, eosinophilic bronchitis can be diagnosed. Patients should not diagnose themselves according to clinical manifestations, but should go to the hospital for standardized diagnosis and treatment.
