Soy milk and breast cancer

An article published in 2008 in Cancer, the world’s leading medical journal, showed that instead of increasing the risk of breast cancer, soy isoflavones in soy have a significant protective effect against the potential risk of breast cancer and can help breast cancer patients recover from the disease. In addition, the phytoestrogens in soy also act differently than estrogens from animals or chemical synthesis. Although soy isoflavones in soy have the effects of animal estrogens, they have less than one thousandth the effect of animal estrogens in promoting breast growth. It not only improves the symptoms of menopausal syndrome, but also has good anti-cancer properties. Therefore, soy isoflavones have been widely used in the treatment of menopausal syndrome in recent years. In addition to breast cancer, soy isoflavones have been shown to reduce the risk of stomach, prostate, colon and ovarian cancers.
