Paralysis classification

Monoplegia is commonly caused by mild stroke, local nerve injury, or nerve entrapment, and the patient is paralyzed in one hand or one foot. Hemiplegia is commonly caused by acute cerebral infarction, cerebral hemorrhage and other acute cerebrovascular diseases, where the patient has paralysis of one hand and one foot at the same time. Paraplegia is a paralysis caused by spinal cord lesions, often manifesting as paralysis of the four limbs, both upper limbs or both lower limbs. In addition to paralysis, most patients with paraplegia also have symptoms such as abnormal sensation and abnormal urination and defecation, which require medication and rehabilitation therapy to improve.
