For thousands of years, Chinese medicine has made great contributions to the health and prosperity of the Chinese people, and the theories related to Chinese medicine have been continuously developed, including the long-established theory of the five elements of yin and yang, the theory of cold, heat and warmth of drugs, the theory of meridians linking the upper and lower parts of the body with the inner and outer parts, and so on. However, these theories are now often misunderstood, considered as nonsense, and even fiercely opposed. The meridian theory is an important theory in Chinese medicine theory, and it is difficult to convince people because the carrier of meridians cannot be identified for a while. Chinese scholar Feng Shengcai, after years of dedicated research, proposed the theory that the essence of meridians is the intermolecular energy transfer system within fibrous protein molecules in the body, which reasonably explains all meridian phenomena. The theory reveals that the meridian carrier is fibrous protein, which is a theory developed on the classical meridian theory using modern scientific terminology, and can be widely recognized and understood by the scientific community, and the application of Chinese medicine acupuncture, massage and qigong may be further developed because of the theoretical support of scientific terminology. The famous warm disease scientist Ye Tianshi put forward the theory of warm disease, “warm evil upward, the first attack on the lungs, the reverse transmission of the pericardium”, the theory has recognized that the pathogen of the disease is “warm evil”, the route of infection is “upward This theory has recognized that the pathogen of the disease is “warm evil”, and the way of infection is “upwardly affected”, and that warm evil first invades the lungs, and in severe cases, the heart and brain. The theory is close to revealing the essence of infectious diseases. This theory has definitely played a positive role in the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases. So we have to work hard to innovate the TCM theory and use this new theory to expand the TCM business. In clinical practice, it has been found that some herbal medicines have expulsive properties, i.e. they may combine with certain molecules in the body to expel harmful substances from the body. This innovative theory comes from the folklore, and this new theory will lead to a better understanding of the therapeutic effects of Chinese medicine and promote the development of Chinese medicine. The theory that “the liver is a wood, and its nature is to be organized” is an ancestral theory describing the function of the liver, which would have played an important role at that time. This theory has often been replaced by the more recent theory that the liver is a chemical factory. No! The liver is a world of enzymes. Even if the enzyme world theory is closer to the liver, it is still not a complete theory. Therefore, we believe that the innovative theories do not abandon the original theories, but develop on the original theories, and it is still necessary to continue to develop the innovative theories described by scientific terms, so as to further promote the development of Chinese medicine. In conclusion, theories of TCM need innovation, and innovative theories of TCM can expand the cause of TCM!
