Health checkups, often referred to as medical checkups, belong to the scope of preventive medicine. The medical profession divides the prevention of chronic and common diseases into three stages: the first stage is health promotion, which means paying attention to health before the disease appears; the second stage is early detection and immediate treatment; and the third stage is rehabilitation and prevention of recurrence. Medical checkups, which are the beginning of health promotion, belong to the first stage of prevention. The regular medical checkups we usually conduct are comprehensive screening tests covering multiple organs and functions of the whole body, and are a set of medical checkups planned for major diseases. The first step is census: the initial screening for chronic and common diseases, and the examination items are divided into three main categories: 1. 2.Organ function examination: such as blood, urine, hearing, vision, lung function examination, etc. 3.Organ structure examination: such as chest and abdominal X-ray, upper gastrointestinal tract imaging, ultrasonic imaging, bone density and other examinations. The second step is review: selective special examinations, such as endoscopy, CT, etc., are conducted for abnormal situations detected in the initial screening, and then the results of the above examinations are analyzed and treatment opinions are proposed. Physical examination, in terms of examination means, is divided into four parts, namely: medical history inquiry, doctor’s examination, instrument examination and laboratory examination, which are missing in one part. Physical examination, from the type of division, can be divided into four categories: 1, regular physical examination: in accordance with the relevant provisions of the health department or unit, once a year for cadres and staff work routine physical examination is a regular physical examination. 2, preventive medical examination: preventive medical examination in order to ensure that the physical standards of a staff, before engaging in the work of the physical examination to detect occupational contraindications; or in order to detect infectious diseases in certain populations, genetic diseases to prevent the spread, proliferation and physical examination called preventive medical examination. For example, conscription, recruitment, marriage, medical examination of personnel abroad are preventive medical examinations. 3, identification physical examination: active military personnel disabled due to war, service-related injuries, according to the degree of loss of working capacity and affect the ability to live, through physical examination to determine the degree and level of disability, belongs to the identification of physical examination. 4, scientific research physical examination: scientific research physical examination refers to the requirements of scientific research design, the physical examination of certain groups of people, certain items. Medical examination has two main benefits: one is the early detection of disease, the second is to save medical costs.
