Is generalized body ache a new type of pneumonia?

Generalized aches and pains do not necessarily indicate novel pneumonia, but they cannot be ruled out because novel pneumonia requires other clinical symptoms in addition to generalized aches and pains for support, such as a dry cough or low-grade fever, malaise, and other symptoms. Some patients may also have digestive symptoms such as abdominal pain, diarrhea and nausea, vomiting, etc. Some patients may also present with other manifestations such as conjunctivitis or keratitis. In case of generalized aches and pains, it is recommended to first ask whether there is any epidemiological history, such as whether there has been any visit to the infected area or place, or whether there has been any contact with the confirmed patient. If the contact history has been excluded and the diagnosis of chest CT has been ruled out, the cause of generalized aches and pains can be considered as a temporary upper respiratory tract infection in the present case.
