Vacuolated butterfly saddle treatment

Patient: Condition: blisters in the pterion, small finger size on MRI in 2001, already thumb size on May 2012. Symptoms: onset, rapid heartbeat, severe headache, weakness of limbs and elevated blood pressure. Other diseases: had cervical disc prolapse, lumbar disc prolapse, and was highly allergic. Large hospitals visited: Wuhan Union Hospital and Shanghai Changzheng Hospital. The doctor recommended surgery but could not give a guarantee of cure. He has not undergone surgery because of the fear that surgery in the brain would be traumatic. Whenever he had an attack, he took salvia drops, and when he had a serious attack, he was hospitalized and treated with a drip for tube dilation. In 2007, I visited Shanghai Changzheng Hospital, where I was prepared to undergo surgery after examination, but in the end, the doctor cancelled the surgery temporarily, admitting that it was risky and suggested taking medication. Since I have been suffering from this disease for many years, I would like to ask Prof. Liao to help me analyze the seriousness of my current condition and whether there is a good treatment method. If surgery can be done, what are the risks? Thank you very much! If the clinical symptoms are not very serious, in principle, surgery is not actively advocated. We will only know if the subarachnoid space is successfully retracted to the saddle diaphragm during surgery. Patient: Thank you very much for taking time out of your busy schedule to reply. I wish you all the best in your work and all the best! Liao Jianchun, Department of Otolaryngology, Shanghai Changzheng Hospital: No thanks. If you do not want to operate, please pay attention to review the MRI of the saddle area in time.
