Foot fracture splinting method

The fracture of foot and ankle is fixed with plastic splint, plastic plaster splint and polymer resin splint, and the fixation is from the toe to the upper part of the calf which is under the knee joint and under the popliteal fossa, and the ankle joint and foot are fixed in neutral position. After fixation, the tightness should be observed regularly. Sometimes, the swelling of the limb may become tighter, so it should be loosened appropriately, and later the swelling may become loose again, so the fixation should be tightened again. It is recommended to go to a specialized hospital to apply plastic splints, including plaster splints and plastic polymer splints for fixation, and not to fix it by yourself at home, as the position of fixation may not be too appropriate and the tightness may not be well grasped.
