What symptoms should be seen at a spine specialist

Low back pain as a painful experience is common in daily life and can occur in men, women and children, but is rare in children. There are various causes of low back pain, the most common being low back pain caused by degenerative changes in the intervertebral discs and small joints of the lumbar spine, the so-called tissue aging, and the highest incidence of low back pain closely related to poor posture. Diseases in which lumbar pain is the main symptom include: lumbar disc herniation, lumbar spondylolisthesis isthmus, lumbar spinal stenosis, osteoporosis, ankylosing spondylitis, and diffuse idiopathic bone hypertrophy. There are also malignant tumors (cancer) metastases, spinal myelitis, spinal tuberculosis, and trauma (e.g., compression fractures). The prognosis for common low back pain is generally good, with most pain relief after 1-2 weeks of recuperation. However, special attention should be paid if there is severe or prolonged pain, or if lower extremity symptoms (numbness, leg pain) are present in addition to low back pain. In either case, early diagnosis of low back pain is extremely important, and to confirm the diagnosis as early as possible, a consultation with a spine specialist is recommended.
