What are the most common types of cervical spondylosis

There are two types of cervical spondylosis: first, spinal cord cervical spondylosis; second, neurogenic cervical spondylosis. Spinal cord type cervical spondylosis is caused by a protruding cervical disc or a hyperplastic bone spur that compresses the spinal cord and the dural sac, thus causing a series of symptoms. The common symptoms include weakness of the limbs, weakness in walking or a feeling of stepping on cotton when walking. Neurogenic cervical spondylosis is caused by the protruding cervical disc or hyperplastic bone compressing and stimulating the nerve roots of the cervical plexus, which generally manifests as numbness and pain in the upper extremities and, if severe, can also lead to weakened reflexes in the biceps and triceps muscles.
