Is vomiting blood from tuberculosis serious?

Hemoptysis is usually more severe in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis. For tuberculosis, about 1/3 of patients will have hemoptysis, and the severity of the disease is greatly related to the amount of hemoptysis. If there is blood in the sputum or the amount of hemoptysis is relatively small, the condition is usually not very serious and can be treated with timely anti-tuberculosis treatment. Some patients may have hemoptysis, which is a serious and life-threatening condition that requires absolute bed rest in the affected side and the use of hemostatic drugs. If internal hemostasis is not effective, surgical treatment is required, usually an interventional procedure, and most of the bleeding can be stopped.
