Is radiotherapy given after total excision for early stage papillary malignant thyroid tumor?

  Patient: Patient male, 59 years old, hypertensive, had surgery on April 19, 2012 for papillary malignant tumor of the thyroid gland, now total thyroid excision, no lymphatic metastasis found, no lymphatic clearance. She has had chemotherapy for 1 day and is currently recuperating at home. The doctor recommended radiotherapy. How effective can radiotherapy be and how should I treat without it? If no lymph node metastasis is identified, we recommend observation, taking oral eugenol and monitoring nail function.
