In nearly 20 years of work experience, I have repeatedly encountered patients because of the fear of facing the disease, and continue to avoid medical treatment, until the disease continues to progress and seriously affect the daily life or even when the disease is critically ill, and at this time has missed the best time for treatment, the treatment effect is difficult to be satisfactory. As a urologist, I can understand the patient’s ignorance and confusion about the disease, and I can also understand the fear of some patients about surgery. Patients may have noticed some abnormalities in themselves, such as hematuria, such as difficulty in urination, but due to various reasons, such as busy work, lack of medical knowledge, no one to take care of them, financial constraints, or just the fear of the unknown, they have not been able to go to a specialist for a systematic examination to arrive at a scientific diagnosis, thus delaying treatment. However, we should know is: First, the early diagnosis and treatment of the disease has a very big impact on the final treatment effect and quality of life! Second, the current medical technology continues to develop, the field of urology, a large number of minimally invasive technology applied to clinical treatment, surgery is no longer terrible! Third, in the face of disease, the patient is not alone in the fight, there are family care, the scientific diagnosis and treatment of specialists, professional nursing staff guidance, strong medical technical support, but also the national health insurance, agricultural cooperation and other medical and economic protection, we work together, many diseases can be cured. At present, nearly 80% of hospitalized surgical patients in our urology department are treated with minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery, which significantly reduces surgical trauma and shortens the recovery time of patients. For example, we are currently performing retroperitoneal laparoscopic adrenal tumor resection, renal tumor resection with kidney preservation, radical prostate cancer surgery, pyeloplasty for the treatment of renal pelvic ureteral junction stenosis, percutaneous nephrolithotripsy pyelolithotripsy for the treatment of urinary stones, ureteroscopic ureteral stone lithotripsy for the treatment of urological stones, transurethral cystectomy for tumor removal, as well as the 30 year old and still All of these surgeries are a great improvement over traditional open surgery, allowing patients to treat their diseases with minimal trauma.
