Artificial joint replacement refers to the use of metal, polymer polyethylene, ceramic and other materials to make artificial joint prosthesis according to the form, structure and function of human joints, which is implanted into the human body through surgical techniques to replace the function of the diseased joints and achieve the purpose of relieving joint pain and restoring joint function. After surgery, the following issues should be noted in order to speed up the patient’s recovery. Avoid excessive use of the knee joint such as climbing, long distance walking, running, etc. 3. Review X-rays 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, and annually after surgery; 3. Exercise the knee joint function (flexion, extension, straight leg raise); abandon the crutches and walk 4-6 weeks after surgery. 4. Continue to take oral antibiotics for 1 week after discharge; 5. The following conditions may mean revision surgery and therefore need to be seen as soon as possible: 1. Localized redness, swelling and pain in the joint or the presence of a small hole with fluid flow. 2. Feeling that the movement of the joint is not as normal or limited as it used to be. 3. Swelling of the entire limb with pain or joint deformity. 4.Joint deformation and pain after trauma.
