What does frequent premature ventricular contractions mean?

Frequent premature ventricular beats are defined as the occurrence of >5 premature ventricular beats per minute, and premature ventricular beats are defined as premature beats below the bifurcation of the Hippocampus bundle that depolarize the myocardium prematurely. Frequent ventricular premature beats can be caused by physiologic or pathologic factors. Physiological factors, such as excessive smoking, alcohol, coffee, etc., generally correct the cause of premature ventricular contractions can be restored. Pathological factors, such as cardiovascular disease, severe electrolyte disorders, hyperthyroidism, digitalis intoxication, etc., should be treated for the underlying cause of the patient, and the premature beats may disappear on their own after eliminating the cause. Frequent ventricular premature beats are prone to hemodynamic changes, and should be treated and intervened under the guidance of a doctor. Usually pay attention to rest, strictly prohibit drinking strong coffee, strong tea, avoid staying up all night, avoid emotional excitement and overwork.
