What does MDT multidisciplinary difficult cases look like?

  Section 1: Skull base and spinal cord tumor session Prof. Chunjiang Yu, Department of Neurosurgery, Sanbo Brain Hospital, Capital Medical University, served as the moderator for the discussion of difficult cases. We thank the neurosurgery teams of Hua Changgeng Hospital, Union Hospital, Tiantan Hospital and Cancer Hospital, Academy of Medical Sciences who prepared and provided cases.  Section 2: Glioma, pediatric tumors and other neuro-oncology special session Prof. Lin Song, Department of Neurosurgery, Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Capital Medical University, served as the moderator for the discussion of difficult cases in this section, and thanked the neurosurgery teams of Xuanwu Hospital, 301 Hospital, Tiantan Hospital and Peking University First Hospital who prepared and provided the cases.  Expert panel members: Prof. Junping Zhang, Department of Neuro-Oncology Chemotherapy, Sanbo Brain Hospital; Prof. Ling Chen, Department of Neurosurgery, 301 Hospital; Prof. Ge Shen, Department of Radiotherapy, 307 Hospital; Prof. Qiuping Gui, Department of Pathology, 301 Hospital; Prof. Xiaoguang Qiu, Department of Radiotherapy, Tiantan Hospital; Prof. Han Ouyang, Department of Imaging, Cancer Hospital, Academy of Medical Sciences.  The cases prepared by the neurosurgery teams of the hospitals providing the cases were very representative, and the issues raised for discussion focused on the difficulties of clinical treatment. At the end of the meeting, everyone still felt that they were not satisfied with the multidisciplinary discussion and looked forward to the next symposium.
